Skilled Migrant CategoryThis visa requires you to pass a points test and to meet the applicable pass mark. You must be younger than 56 years and have good English language ability. Your occupation must be listed on the List of Skilled Occupations. An Expression of Interest (EOI) is required. People whose EOI has been drawn from the pool might be invited to apply for permanent residency. Work to Residence CategoryA visa of this category is valid for up to 2.5 years, after which you might apply for a permanent visa. The following visa options exist:
Essential Skills visa (temporary)This visa is for persons who have been offered a job by a New Zealand based employer where the position could not be filled by a New Zealand based worker. Silver Fern visaThis is a temporary visa for persons between 20 and 35 years of age who intend to find long-term skilled employment. The minimum qualification requirements are: Bachelor or higher degree or alternatively a recognised trade qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience. |
